Drilling an exploration well in the prospective area Kognisai

Kognisai-1J wildcat with a target depth of 5,800m to Jurassic carbonate deposits is being drilled on the new lead of Kognisai. It is located 20 km to the south of Mustakillikning 25 Yilligi field and had been detailed based on the latest 2D seismic acquisition data.

The well is drilling in a very rough terrain and complex geological conditions.

The purpose of this work is to discover a new gas deposits within the Uzbekistan Mustakilligi investment block in Jurassic carbonates in the interval of 5,300-5,800m. Jurassic deposits are represented by limestones with poro us fractured reservoir rock, abnormal-high reservoir pressure (up to 100 MPa) and temperature (up to 2000 С).
